South Lake Tahoe Celebrates Zalanta Opening
STATELINE, Nev. (June 19, 2017) – Nearly 200 people were on hand for the ribbon cutting for the Zalanta Resort at the Village last Tuesday. The highly anticipated opening, which includes the first phase of full-ownership luxury residences, brought out South Lake Tahoe mayor Austin Sass and city manager Nancy Kerry, as well as Wendy David, South Lake Tahoe city council member.
Located across from the Heavenly Village, Zalanta is the first whole ownership luxury condominium residences in the Lake Tahoe Basin in 30 years. “Zalanta’s opening is exciting for the entire region,” said Mike Dunn, listing agent at Zalanta Resort at the Village. “The community leaders on hand emphasized that the property will keep Tahoe moving forward as a world-class destination.”
Speeches were given by Mayor Sass; Peter Sonntag, president and COO of Vail Resorts; and Lew Feldman, attorney and land use expert who has been involved with the project since the 1990s. Bill Owens, of Owens Financial and owner of the project, cut the ribbon.
